JSC BIRIU KROVINIU TERMINALAS specialises in handling bulk mineral fertilizers and grain cargoes. The company also carries out the unloading, storage, handling and loading of various other products, both packaged and bulk, from and to ships, wagons or road transport. The terminal has been continuously working towards applying the latest technologies, equipment, infrastructure and enhancing human resources. Since the beginning of company’s activities the total investment to the terminal development has topped 105 million euros.

Facts and figures
JSC BIRIU KROVINIU TERMINALAS began its operations in 1997, making it one of the youngest Klaipeda port companies. Since then, JSC BKT has become the biggest terminal in the port of Klaipeda and one of the most efficient stevedoring companies in Europe. In the last decade alone, the terminal’s fertilizer handling increased 7 times in terms of the number of tonnes handled. However, as of 2022, due to the geopolitical situation, the Company lost its main flow of fertilizer cargo and was forced to diversify its main activity into the loading and storage of grain crops.
